AFI have announced additional dates for the second leg of their North American tour, with stops in Seattle, Vancouver, Minneapolis, and more. The tour is in support of their new album, Silver Bleeds the Black Sun…, where the band leaned into a lusher sound. Opening up the shows is the new-wave band Choir Boy.
Earlier this fall, AFI released their 12th full-length, Silver Bleeds the Black Sun…, an album that contemplates modern life and the difficulty of living in a modern dystopian world. “I’m so happy that anybody feels anything from what we create,” vocalist Davey Havok says for AFI’s AP cover story. “I have to do this. My hope has always been that there is some connection to feel something. If someone’s getting that from what I do, they’re giving me the gift, sacrifice or not.”
