Chris Hemsworth is on a quest to understand how Alzheimer’s works. The Thor actor announced that he was going to take a step back from Hollywood when he discovered he was at risk of having Alzheimer’s because of a genetic condition. Now, Hemsworth is sharing a special journey with his father, Craig Hemsworth. Craig has early-stage Alzheimer’s, and the two Hemsworths have taken on a journey to their past in a special titled National Geographic’s Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember. The special is described as follows:

Chris Hemsworth Has Changed His Approach to Life
Since Hemsworth discovered that he was 10 times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s, he’s made a lot of his work geared towards understanding what makes his risks higher. For his Limitless series, he spoke with LADbible and talked about how he had to lower his stress levels and figure out how to maintain a healthier life balance. “And how to really take stock in the important relationships and experiences in life, and have them be purposeful,” he said.
That, mixed with Hemsworth’s documentary with his father, shows he’s dedicated to figuring out the best way to help discover what elevates his risk of Alzheimer’s, and you can see how the road trip helps when National Geographic’s Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember is released on Disney+ and Hulu on November 24 follwing a premiere on National Geographic on November 23.
